OxiMax Iron Removal Systems

HES Water Engineers India Pvt Ltd. offers an advanced Iron Removal System which is engineered to be a unique standalone system suitable for the removal of iron.

Iron and/or manganese are common in groundwater. Excessive iron in water can not only alter the taste of the drinking water, but it can also lead to plumbing issues, leaving stains on household appliances and clothes (while doing laundry). The build-up of iron deposit in pipelines, pressure tanks, water heaters, and commodes can also lead to reduced water pressure and leakage. Plus, over time, it can damage your appliances, reducing their shelf life.

At present, the permissible limit of iron in water is 0.3 ppm. To reach this desirable limit, using a tested & approved technology is important, and this is where OxiMax Iron Removal System is the best solution, irrespective of whether you need it to comply with the water standards set by the Government or just want to improve the quality of water.

OxiMax Iron Removal Systems in India

OxiMax Iron Removal Systems are well-suited for eliminating nuisance parameters and improving the overall quality of water. Our integrated oxidation and filtration technology utilize proprietary and highly active media packaged in a pre-engineered water treatment system for simple installation and use.

It has a granular catalytic material of dark brown to black colour. This colour is given by manganese oxide in the outer layers of the granules. It facilitates or enhances oxidation and does not get consumed in the reactions. Also, the material does not need regeneration, only regular backwashing with water is sufficient.

#Role of Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCI)

We use our own Electrochlorination manufactured systems to produce NaOCl on-site which helps keep the Catalytic surface clean so that ions in water could come in contact with it. Sodium hypochlorite is injected to prevent bacterial growth and blinding with the slime of the catalytic surface. This provides additional disinfection of water while removing iron.

Benefits of OxiMax Iron Removal System

  • OxiMax Iron Removal System is more reliable & efficient in removing iron, manganese, and arsenic from water compared to other conventional methods that use other media.
  • It has a much higher filtration rate and offers greater performance over a wide range of incoming water quality.
  • These systems are also smaller in size, which helps you to reduce the footprints and save money on space & real estate.
  • It offers superior handling properties and is stable.
  • It has a low capital cost compared to other systems and can be custom-designed as per your requirement to effectively treat different water parameters.
  • It comes with enhanced kinetics that allows for short contact times.
  • It also helps with the disinfection of water and has a long life.

Application and Uses of OxiMax Iron Removal System

  • Public Water Systems

FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

Through mechanisms of oxidation and coprecipitation, iron contaminants are efficiently removed in the OxiMax Iron Removal media beds.
A low Hypochlorite dose is recommended for optimal performance of the OxiMax Iron Removal systems. It enhances the removal process, improves longevity, and keeps the surface of the media oxidized to prevent the build-up of solids. An additional advantage is disinfection of the treated water. It has a long media life, and we use our own Electrochlorination systems to produce Sodium Hypochlorite on-site using a small amount of NaCl (Salt).
To determine the best way to achieve your treatment goal, you need to, first, obtain a complete site-specific water profile from a qualified lab. You can then submit this information to OxiMax technical support, who’ll get in touch with you to discuss the right application for your site and the equipment sizing and costs.
HES Water Engineers (India) has implemented over 1000 full-scale OxiMax Iron Removal systems for Public Water Systems.
